Why's google taking so long!

Hi guys... i am a little confused. My site www.asianweddingnetwork.co.uk has still not been given a PR by google, although we have been picked up by google about a month ago. Its really weird...i have about 70 odd decent back links.

Another weird thing is that another site i have (wholesalernetwork.co.uk) does not have very many links but still gets a PR of 2...

Whats going on here? Its been almost 2 months and the website I thought was more optimised (i.e content, more links etc etc) is being ignored by google.

I have signed up to dmoz and stuff like that but no joy - yet. Please help!

Google only update the PR in its toolbar every several months. If you check out this page you will see when previous updates have taken place and a guess as to when the next one will happen: http://www.seocompany.ca/pagerank/pa...date-list.html.

The last one as far as I know was December, so Google possibly was not familiar enough with it to award it a PR value. Hang in there for the next update!

Roseplant,
That link you gave is giving a 404. Try this one:

http://www.seocompany.ca/pagerank/pa...date-list.html

Ah, I see why. You're link gives a period at the end on accident.

So it's been 100 days since the last update! The longest has been 111 days, so any day now! Anyone's hands starting to sweat? =)

I hope it is soon. I'm not too happy about zero PR. I know it doesn't make that much difference, but to some people it is important and that will help me develop strong link exchanges

Speaking of link exchanges...I have a question for you experts. If the homepage of a site has a PR of say 4...but their links page has a PR of 0, is that still beneficial to me when placing a link? Or does my link need to be on a page with a high PR?

It is definitely better for you to link directly on the main page because of the higher pagerank
