If you want to have a good content to your blog then yous should come up with writing a good article.

I tried once a few months back, got my site listed, but went back now and it is not their anymore. Tried listing it again with no luck and my site is extremely safe

I think DMOZ is a choosy one... Their editors are the ones approving the links submitted... You will wait for 6 moths to 1 year.. Sometimes up to 2 years... I have read some articles that DMOZ is too slow in accepting sites....
