Getting listed in DMOZ - Page 19

To be honest even if your listing is brilliant you prob wont get listed. See its a power thing if the editors let every relevant listing into the directory like they should people wouldn't beg them anymore and they couldn't charge extortionate rates.

I asked a question on the dmoz forum and some anal editor slapped me down, told me "GO READ THE GUIDELINES THEN COME BACK IN 2 WEEKS" even though the question wasn't answered in the guidelines.

Dmoz is edited by humans and humans have the tendency to manuplate things. Humans are not like software which don't have feelings, do favour for a site whom they know.Nowadays to get listed in Dmoz is simple only if your know the editor of that particular catagoery then your site will get definetly added in Dmoz and it does not matter if you have broken links in your site or not.

That's such a lie! I don't know anyone with a website and all those I listed were, well, luck of the draw....

Understand that thousands of people/bots submit to dmoz every day, so you're competing with thousands of other sites for the editors' attention. If your site submission is guidelines complaint for title and description then yours might be the one the editor chooses to review and list.
