Isn't querying the Google datacenters just giving you it's current PageRank?

I can see how this would be useful during a PageRank update to show the updated Google datacenters before the PageRank is reflected in the Google toolbar but I can't see that it offers anything more than this.

It does give you a little more into the mind of G - but watch out for their T&Cs

I wouldn't put much stock in these 'tools'. I had 4 sites at the time of the PR update and only one of them ( the oldest one ) actually got the PR that these tools predictd. All of my other sites were much lower.
