How does the cache in Google work?

Hi, I have this question and I appreciate if somebody give me some idea how it works.

A website accidentally published my name and all the contact number (in a PDF) file, I could search it througth google, and I got quite a bit of spam email from that. Afterthewebmaster removed my namefrom the PDF file,my nameis still searchable because it's cached. There was a line with the HTML link of the old file which still has my name showing up in the google search. Like the following,

FONT size=2FONT color=#6f6f6fFile Format:/FONT PDFdobe Acrobat - /FONT[url=http://64.233.179.104/search?q=cache:63nN-6T9g2QJ:www.kitchenermarket.ca/pdf/artisan_crafter_membership.pdf+yifei+zhang&hl= en&gl=ca&ct=clnk&cd=50"FONT color=#551a8b size=2View as HTML/FONT

I wonder how the cache thing works in google. willmy namestay thereforever or will the cached page be updated sometime within a time period. Is there anything I could do or the website admin could do to have it removed from the cache?

Apprieciated if somebody give me a hint? Thanks.

mondine is an unknown quantity at this point
Your best bet would probably be to contact the webmaster, and have him/her request that the cached page be removed.

It should be cached the next time Google crawls the website but I'm not sure how reguarly they update pdf files or if they notice the change that's been made to the file.
