Shutdown of google answers

Hi everybody.

This thread is just to let you peoples know that the google answers has been retired.The official site now displays:-

Google Answers is no longer accepting questions.
We're sorry, but Google Answers has been retired, and is no longer accepting new questions.
Search or browse the existing Google Answers index by using the search box above or the category links below.

Interesting... maybe Answers hasn't been as successful as Google hoped, and so they've shut it down. Still, the questions asked when Answers was still running can be browsed.

I liked several answers from google researchers, and it's sad to see them go!

Yahoo is on the peak on the answers and it has been a great success.

I like the concept of Yahoo! Answers, because I didn't like Google's asking for money for using their Answers.

i like yahoo answers style , free and they benift from

showing their ads, i hope google move to it

Not sure of google answers, I normally use Yahoo Answers.
