I always thought it was 'Joan' instead of 'Joanne'...Thanks for the clarification. But anyway, I like:
    i) Dune series by Frank Herbert(RIP)
ii) Lord of the Rings series by J. R. R. Tolkien.
And well, those are the only ones which are coming to mind for now, I'll think of more later...

Well, it's all written on the paper cover of the hardback editions of the Harry Potter books.

Some fantasy is OK, it's sc-fi I can't stand. Far-fetched fantasy (totally unbelievable) is not my favorite. I rarely read any fantasy books.

Medieval and magic would definately top my list. I find books about aliens quite lame actually. Harry Potter and LOTR are great!

I love books like Harry Potter but lord of the rings was so tedious! Every second page was about food! I like books written by Mario Puzo. He and JKR are my fav. writers. My fav book is either THE SICILIAN or HARRY POTTER series.

Every kind. I like magic, but when I get magical realism in my hand I become totally hipnotized and obsessed.

Let's see what I enjoyed: Potter, LoTR, Feist, Bulgakov, Colfer, Simmons, Gaiman, Prtachett, Marquez... There is no end to all these.

    my fav fantasy

span style="color: rgb(191, 0, 191);"font size="4"span style="font-family: Verdana;"my fav fantasy pics are magical and historical. i like sara douglass' series based on the labyrinths of the ancient world called "the Troy Game"; i like anne rice's mayfair witch series; i like anne bishop's books about magic; i like the extremely interesting and erotic series about anita blake, vampire hunter, writen by an author whose name infuriatingly escapes me right night now-her books are excellect, tho not for the vanilla nor for the faint of heart; i like harry turtledove's alt history books starting with the war between the states; i like stephen king, esp. his short stories; i like sheri tepper's books, though her's would be considered to be about aliens, but they are well written and always a pleasure to peruse..i have many others but those are the ones i can think of right off hand.brshalom and se gesundt,brrebbetzinbr/span/font/span
