Ive read fragments of it in Latin, but thats about it.

The Iliad was required reading for me in high school. I still have a copy of it. I found it fascinating. Hmmm. I think I'll grab my copy and startreading it again, since I'm not really reading anything at present.

span style="color: rgb(191, 0, 191);"font size="4"span style="font-family: Verdana;"the Illiad was the first book i ever read. i was three yrs old and it was an old penguin translation i found by my parents' bedside. it was love at first sentence! i went on to become a Classics scholar, read it in the original Greek-how lovely!-then got my grad degree in Pyrrhonic Skepticism, then lost it all when i had my first stroke in my late 20s. i'm regaining it gradually but am concentrating on other civilations now-mainly Asian this time, plus my Judaic studies, of course. Hebrew is also a wonderful language!brrebbetzinbr/span/font/span
