I keep on going back and forth on how I should divide our budget. I was wondering for the small businesses out there, how much do you set a side for monthly SEO budget? Do you divide that budget between SEO and PPC?

This is a good question, and I hear it a lot from people I talk to.
First you must look at your current main revenue source. Where are your buyers currently coming from? I always suggest to new businesses to start off with an aggressive PPC campaign. This allows for immediate traffic and will allow you to gather important data on your keywords. This data will show you what keywords are selling and what keywords are bombing. After collecting this data you can gear your site to target the producing keywords. SEO is a long term process. Its not an over night thing so dont expect to dump thousands of dollars on an SEO campaign and expect an immediate return on your investment. -AgentOz Last edited by AgentOz; 11-20-2008 at 10:37 AM. |
