This morning, I get this topic from CCF.A guys posted a similar topic.
why the girls/boys perfer to choice foreigner bf/gf/husband/wife.?

The following reason was listed by this guy:

I prefer foreigner , because I like their way of working with problems (AND I REALLY STILL DON'T KNOW what is this "WAY". I did not know that the ways for solution about the probles got nationality).

-I prefer foreigner, becuase his skin is white and I like white ( [b] REASON, ISN'T IT? )

-I prefer foreigner, because DNA will be different and baby will be more beautiful and healthy (Too scintific and NOT VERY TRUE, in my opinion).

so what is your opinion?

One, I judge people by their personality, not their nationality.

BTW, the way they work problems may vary.. that's true. see germans. precisity uberalles. see china. .. . no comment. Germany was torn in pieces in the late XIX century. in the 1860s they solved their problem, and the french sucked.

After WWI they were almost punished again.. They solved their problem and in 1939 start WWII (not like this would be a too good thing.. I just say that they had the power).. in the 1960s they were torn again. in 1989 they solved their problem again. and see at what level are they right now.

Yes, they were removed. And my reference to the removed links were then edited by the member.

As for the behaviour of nations in world wars, I'm not really sure how this would relate to personal relationships.
Do you really believe that Germans, for example, have one national personality?

Yes.. actually, our history teacher pointed us out that..
but after your reply I did a bit of research and found out that there was a so-called "Marshall plan" to help the countries which suffered serious losts after the second WW.. Stalin rejected.. but the western countries accepted it as well (French, Italy, Germany)..

but even though, there was something from 1919 to 1939.. in 20 years they could manage to start a new WW.. after the `pleasant' treatment got from Georges Clemenceau after WWi...

btw, see the ex-communist countries (Russia, Romania, Ukraine).. Germany advances better than them. Why? Because they're german.

Finally, yes, I believe in national differences. It can affect the steps of various countries, however I believe that persons can be of any kind. But WHOLE nationalities may differ.

I like my future boyfriend/husband to be Dutch, I would like it even more if he is Frisian. So I disagree with the statement. If I can prevent it, (love can be difficult to prevent ) I won't get me a foreign man.

My reason is simple. Guys who live in the same region as I do are raised the same way as me. Therefore we will think alike about a lot of things. People with a different nationality are raised in different way with other morals and standerds (depending on where they come from) that it is likely to cause trouble (in my opinion, I like it my way). Moreover, he will speak the same language as me. Since I speak two languages on a daily basis (Frisian to family and friends who are also Frisian and Dutch in all other cases) it would be difficult for someone to learn both languages within a reasonable time period. It would just make it rather complicated.

Color of skin, hear and possible features and so on is of no relevance to me. I couldn't care less about it. Even if it meant anything to me, it wouldn't make a difference. The Netherlands has a lot of different kind of people when it comes to appearance.

I personaly would like to be with a foreign female because from what I understand women from across the big lake dont have as many high standards as the women here in the states.

If I got married, or seriously began dating, my only requirements for a mate would be that the person shared my values--honesty, trustworthiness, kindness, hard-working, intelligent, well-read, and well-rounded. Good morals (wouldn't have to be religious, or go to church, etc) would also be high on that list, as well as compassion, sincerity, open-mindedness, non-prejudiced (racial or otherwise), clean, and helpful. A history of nonviolent activism, organizing, and community service would also be helpful.

Now all of those qualifications can fit anyone--native or foreigner, and would tend to weed out a mate whom I would not get along with. In other words, beyond my requirements, I couldn't care less about the origin or nationality of my mate. The only things I'd ask of an immigrant is that he entered the country legally. I wouldn't want someone whom I am involved with to be living under the radar or breaking the law. Also, my mate would have to speak my language. After all, we'd have to communcate, right?After all, If I met someone who wanted me to immigrate to their country, you'd better believe that I would do it legally, and I would learn the language!

IMO it doesn't matter if the man is a foreigner or same as mine. What is more important is the personality and how we blend to each others characteristics.
