mondine is an unknown quantity at this point
From a safe distance.

Just kidding. Actually, your question is far too broad.
Someone with depression is quite different than a schizophrenic.
A neighbour that smokes pot or is a world away from a crystal meth addict or heroin junkie.

It's like asking 'how do you feel about weather?'.

Are you asking about two groups of people, ie, people with mental health disabilities [b]and/[b] people with drug and alcohol problems, or are you asking about people with dual diagnosis of mental health issues compounded by drug and alcohol abuse?

Why do you ask?

I am asking because I am doing a drug and alcohol course, and I am interested in what society thinks.
The question regarding a person with mental health and drug or alcohol problems, I would like to know your views on these peope, meaning a person with a mental health diagnosis who is also addicted to drugs or alcohol.
Thanks for the feedback

What views are we supposed to have? Both mental illness and drug or alcohol addiction are medical conditions, not character deficits. Sometimes, the mental illness, itself, may be the cause for the drug/alcohol addiction. The person needs specialized treatment for both conditions, and should not be judged.

I view them as people because thats what they are yea they may have problems but that doesnt mean you should view them differently then someone that doesnt. We all have problems some people just hav eones that are worse than others.

i view them like evryone else. i fell in love with a drug and alchol abuser. I knew what he was doing was wrong, as much as i tryed to stop him, it grew worse. I've relized that all people have problems and they need someone at times to lend them a helping hand. Dont judjes others untill you know the real person that they are.
