Who's your favourite video game character??

Mine's hard to say...
but well...I have to admit, Dan Hibiki of the Saikyo Groove! "Saikyo-ryuu Ougi, KORYUREKKA!!!", "I hate the art of fighting but I wanna be the king of fighters", "Gadou...SHOKOU KEN!"(this one caught me by surprise with its size) are some of his memorable quotes.
Dan's the pink panther of Ansatsuken, which he incorporated into his own "Saikyo" or 'ultimate' fighting style. He's from Street Fighter Alpha but he's in other games too.

His father, Go/Gou Hibiki's identity is different in every game :S...Like in the Alpha games, his father was the "God of Muay Thai kickboxing" before Sagat came along and fought and brutally defeated him which led to his death(it should be noted that he gouged out Sagat's right eye. Way to go, Gou Hibiki! ). In crossover games like Capcom vs SNK and SNK vs Capcom...his father was said to be Takuma, grandmaster of Kyokugenryo Karate's best friend before being killed by Sagat. It is said that he trained under Goutetsu before Goutetsu took Gouken, Gouki(English - Akuma), and Gen(don't know where Capcom got this but wtf?!), just like Dan trained under Gouken before Ryu and Ken came along. Takuma and Go had met somewhere and decided to have a match which Go eventually won, but they became the best of friends. Years later Takuma heard about his death at the hands of Sagat. He decided to go and hunt down Sagat and defeat him, but later he heard that Sagat had been already defeated in the '87 World Warrior tournament by the Wandering Warrior Ryu(he won in Satsui no Hadou ni Mezameta mod and the move he used was the Metsu Shoryuken, which is sometimes incorrectly called the Messatsu Dan Shoryu) and later by a warrior clad in a pink gi...namely, Dan Hibiki, the son of Gou himself. Apparently Sagat threw the fight.

BTW, Dan was supposed to be a parody of some characters of SNK's Art of Fighting but later on they gradually decided to take him more seriously. In Capcom vs SNK 1, at the request of SNK, who took a liking to Dan, Capcom made him a more serious fighter than ever before, and they connected Dan's father's story with Takuma's...

Honestly, my favorite character is Mario.
He is the classic video game character. You can't think about video games without thinking about Mario.
