Many of you may find this useful for reference, and it may help you decide how much you want to donated.
Here a list of what your money can provide:

What would you do if you are searching survivors and find a person that is almost dead and needs attention fast but you are in the middle of the dissaster without a way to comunicate with the others at the rescue team??

That's why they have the phones, remember that the lines where destroyed...

And Let them decide what is the best way to invest the money in order to save lifes...
