I am friend of all my ex-bf and also i was married 2 times and i am realy good friend of both of my ex-husbands. I think that if someday someone was important to me is that why this person is a special person, coz i never can fall in love for someone that is not special, and if one day the love finish (for me, him or both), it cannot finish the friendship, that is the most important thing in all relationship.
Of course being honesty is also very impostant and if someone was not honesty with u, so, this person dont deserve ur friendship, but if the people was honesty, telling u the true about feelings not only when was in love but also when loves finish, so, i think, that u have no reason to dont respect and be friend of this person.
Just think about that.

Honestly With the fish thing, this is what my friend said once, "When fishing, it is like waiting for someone you don't even know" so i guess the fish example doesn't really fit with the girl issue

dont your throw the fish back. the fish example was given more to indicate that there are many fishes. you need wait or go behind the one who does not repond.

uhhh...well, if she's the one that's bad-mouthing you...that's not very nice...if you really wanna stick with her though, that's up to you...

my suggestion is not to rudely end the friendship, but quietly withdraw...if nothing happens, then you can assume that it really matter nothing to her whether you stay with her or not

it's your choice from then about what to do...can't help you there
