At that web site, you can get an icon for your e-mail, not just for Gmail, but also for Yahoo! Mail and Hotmail and a few others.

It still happens to me as well, especially if your guery is slightly off/different.

Somebody told me that if you use this generator, it will auto record your email address. So that mean your email will appear in the database of spam email sender.

Just not sure about that. Maybe or not, who knows?

I do not understand why there is an item in the shop where microdude says he makes the logo for people when you can easily get it from the internet. He doesn't actually make it, because it looks exactly the same. Is he getting GC for doing practically nothing? I don't get it, am I wrong?

First of all, I don't think he is getting the gc$. Maybe he is, but I don't think so. As far as I know the gc$ you spent in the shop are reduced from your own account and dissapear in thin air (since it is pretend money).

Secondly I don't know if he makes it himself of if he uses a generator. I do know there are also .psd files with the same thing and you can create your own with photoshop or any other program. The easy way would be to use the generator (unless you want something else than numbers and letters). But since I've never bought that from the shop I don't know if he gives you the .psd file or not. Microdude would have to tell you that.

Thirdly, the item was listed in the shop after people kept asking for us to make those signatures. Only after it was available in the shop that generator was posted here (I for one didn't know that generator existed before somebody posted it here).

Nice observation Putnik, knowledge is king. Look around you these days, very few people are reinventing the wheel, many are just providing services for others. In Microdude's case, he also has the skills to create a one-of-a-kind custom logo for members, if they choose to go that route. There was a time when he and others were being hounded for sigs and avatars etc...

Flaming Text is a good place to create your very own addys or whatever with very little skills required.
