Becoming an MCP is not a great deal but still its a stupendous task for a 9 yrs old.. Kudos to her.
Now a days children have much more potential in computers that i did in my days.

But if the interview is true i dont think its a marketing gimmick from micro$oft. She seems to know all about .net VB etc. and knows what tools she wants to work on. But who knows may be you r right
