Labour MPs & internet child pornography

The Sunday Times is reported to have obtained an FBI list of Labour MPs who have used credit cards to pay for internet child pornography, and Tony Blair has responded by imposing a massive news blackout, failing however to stop the arrest of one of his most important aides, Phillip Lyon. An additional, and potentially explosive, aspect of US leverage over Blair is the FBI's investigation of users of child porn websites which has already claimed a number of high profile scalps.

I really hate Politics, I only wish that we could police the FBI like they do others. J. Edgar Hoover was policing everyone and was a 'closet case' in his own right. I don't care what he does with other adults, but he shouldn't be hypocrite about it.

They need to go after anyone that promotes or has anything to do with exploiting children sexually. It's the sickest thing I can think of personally. Put the offenders in prison and let them become the child for the general populations carnal urges!

WTF Geekerati that is just sick, the last part of your message. Rehabilitation through sexual molestation is not the way they should be punished. True, people should receive severe punishment rather than probation for raping/sexually assaulting children, but repaying them in a similar way to their crimes is inhumane.
To each his own, I guess, but I disagree with such treatment. People possessing child porn should be subjected to punishment as well, but not as harsh as those offered to actual offenders.
Child porn websites need to be shut down. Politics is a mixed game, actually. There are good politicians and bad politicians. But most of the time, the potential of the "good guys" is not realized.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add that in Canada, legal age of consent is 14, but there is controversy on what the set age is for legal pornographic modelling. I guess I'll have to delete that child porn I received from Darren if the law outlaws it soon.

It was supposed to be sickening. Any adult that gets off on looking at 14 year old boys/girls needs to have the hell beat out of them. What if it was your son or daughter? I would imagine the perps have tiny little phalluces as well.
