GreenZap - Is it worth it?

I'm not going to post the link here because of advertising and all, but what do you all think of it?

I think that the usage of GreenZap will be limited during its start of letting you shop at stores like Amazon, iTunes, and Target. I just don’t think someone would be able to buy a $1,700 Apple PowerBook Notebook 12.1" M9691LL (1.5 GHz PowerPC G4, 512 MB RAM, 80 GB Hard Drive, SuperDrive) without Apple saying something. It’d lose them a whole lot of money in the end. Where would the user get all that much WebCash to spend anyway? It’d take either a lot of referrals, or a lot of spamming to be able to do that.

You also just can’t get a Gold Account once you’ve got $100 WebCash credits. That’s very typical for a service like GreenZap to do. Instead, you have to enter a bank or saving account, which seems pretty reasonable in my humble opinion. You wouldn’t think it’d be easy as that, would you?

If you’re thinking of using GreenZap as a payment for future clients, you may want to wait a bit before you go on about doing it. It still isn’t confirmed of how they’ll be handling everything just yet.

I think it's supposed to be like paypal, where you are supposed put your own money in so that you can buy stuff. The money they give you for referrals, IMO, isn't the only money your supposed to use.

Anyways, it's been awhile since you posted here, what happened???
BTW I used to be stuck_fugu

Oh, well with my editor job and all, plus school. I kind of went away from here. It just got too hard for me. Hopefully I'll post more since it's finally summer.
Thanks for asking. .

They sure conned people in to believing that they actually pay out 25 dollars per referral. Couple of my referrals were not counted though they got an email welcoming them to Greenzap.

I suggest anyone interested in Greenzap to research them on their own before even considering giving them your email address.

There are way too many questionable things about the people that run greenzap, it's "supporters", and greenzap itself.

Read greenzap's privacy/opt out policy. It grants them the permission to do whatever is to their financial gain with your info including sell it. The only way to opt out of them being able to do whatever they want with your info is to quit the service. As of today, 4 months since they started the launch campaign, they still do not provide a way to quit the service so that you can opt out.

Auctionz just opened for greenzap, if you click the link for Auctionz on greenzap's own site, you can see that Greenzap's auctions are really just link to a search of all items at ebay that have greenzap in the description. Currently this allows you to choose from under 1500 items in Ebay, many of which don't accept greenzap, or only contain a referal ID.

I expect no one to take my word for all of this, I do hope that since I have taken the time to type this those that read it will take the time on their own to read a few of these links and take them into consideration before doing anything. Just be an informed consumer.

Check the links below, or just google greenzap and see what you find. 10 minutes of reading vs your personal information and possibly $100 of your money? Be smart take 10 minutes of your day and read.
