Internet Explorer is for dumbasses. I've read somewhere that the beta version also be compatible with Windows XP SP2. It'll come packaged with longhorn, probably.

IE 7 will be available for Windows XP SP2, but it won't have the enhanced security features that it will have in Longhorn.

Nothing new, Microsoft had already said features like this will only be available for Longhorn and a light version for Windows Xp SP2, that's one of the reasons for them wanting everybody to upgrade to SP2.
