Greece installs missile launchers

Is it just me or is this a little overkill? I would've saved the money and increased ground security like car checkpoints / officers on ground patrol / etc.

I'm really not sure if it is an overkill. My first reaction to seeing this is "what do want with those huge missile launchers? What are they preparing for?" Mayor overkill! However when I give it a second thought I remembered that they _are_ preparing for the worst. I don't know their security plan obviously, so I can't tell what needs further protection.

And think about it: The entire world knows by now that the olympics are so well protected that you can't try anything. Especially with those missile launchers on the news. Aside the fact that they can eliminate a lot of risk by these things, any terrorist trying to pull a stunt is being warned by these missile launchers. What idiot would want to try something if you see those things on the news.

I agree, Tokolo...seems to be more of a warning or preventative measure than anything else -- at least I hope it is! I'm sure there are a lot of less impressive looking precautions in place that we will never know about.
