Making It Happen

Being the owner of etravelwithus.com I just wanted to write an article and open up a discussion about Affiliate websites.

Basically,I have had lots of emails asking me how do you do it? how did you "Make It Happen", make what happen, I thought, "being succesfull" well to be honest i'm not that rich far from it.However, it made me think back how I started, all the worries, excitement, etc.

The stats show that without going into it all, is that, there are hundreds more failures than those that go on to make a decent income out of being an affiliate, or owning an affiliate business.Simply put after about 3 months of putting a lot of hard work into setting up, marketing,and getting few sales, people lose heart and think its not worth the hassle.(Does that ring a bell with you )but it sorts the men out from the boys so to speak, those who want it and those who don't. I think patience is a big factor also, small positive steps along the way is far better than just diving in and hoping to make a quick buck.As long as you can see you are making progress then you are heading in the right direction.

It is very easy to get a website now, set it up and think that's it we are on our way. Frankly it's just the start of the hard work ahead. Search engines, PPC,advertising,word of mouth,cards etc its's never ending and always someone trying to sell you something which is supposed to bigger and better than anybody else.

Question is, how much money have you got to throw into your advertising, have you got a budget? How much time are you prepared to to EAT, SLEEP, and THINK about your busines.People go by the wayside and fail because they don't think things through before they start out a business, any business come to that.

How long does it take? How long is a piece of string? It may take weeks before you get a sale.On average I reckon it takes between possibly nine months to a year before you start to get noticed out there, it depends how much time and effort and a bit of luck as well,and we all need a bit of that as well.

So if you have an affiliate business and want to throw ideas around, give some encouragement, and help the little guys succeed as well, it would be good to hear from you. Dont forget we have all been there and it aint easy.
