For several days WZZM news has been censoring their "news" web site, removing public comment on stories about B.H. Obama, and PETA. WZZM is showing an intolerance for uncomplimentary views of their reporting, as well as intolerance of disagreement with their political positions. I'm creating this thread as a forum where WZZM bloggers can come to discuss their experiences with WZZM, without their postings being deleted. Thank You for visiting!
The following are examples of comments that WZZM has removed from their website: wzzm.jpg wzzm2.jpg |

I'll say this... Gannett has done stuff like this before. In fact, they do a lot of it on campus newspapers they happen to own.
I like to take them on in their own turf (their website) because at least they'll pay attention to it, and they have a choice of censoring me, or doing away with me. But, I also know I'm not an easy person to get rid of (having run forum sites like this and WZZM, I know all of the tricks to get around things). All I want is for people to think about and share real ideas (without the same brainless "I'm so sorry for your loss" every post)... and if people respond or contribute (whether they like or hate what I have to say), then I've done my job. Think about it... God gave us a brain and instilled intelligence within us for a reason. Last edited by SlowNewsDay; 06-07-2009 at 11:40 AM. |
