What language do you speak?

German
Russian
Spanish

Yes, while I think that English will probably come out on top, there are many languages that would likely finish ahead of French,
among the many nationalities that post to this forum.

But I know quite a few languages. I can read and write English (notice how it comes first here) and Hindi fluently. I can read and write Bengali, Marathi and Sanskrit, but with some difficulties.

And, I could not vote in the poll. Due to the fact that my mother-tongue is Bengali. But the language I like the most is English.

I don't know much about the status of English, but a guy once told me 30-40% of Indians can speak English, but I found that farfetched. Is it true?
