New kid - HELP!!

I'm a new kid on the block here so can somebody what GC$ actually are and what you do with them. Also how can you get a pic to appear under your name in a post?

Hi, and welcome.
GC$ is forum (read 'fake') currency that you can spend in GC.
If you look up there in the top right corner, you'll see a link to the 'shop'. There is one shop where there are items for sale (it gets re-stocked every now and then), and an Effects shop, where you can buy things like a title to go under your name.
You earn GC$ by posting (in some, but not all forums), but don't post just for that reason!
The picture under your name is your Avatar, and this is set in your profile. See instructions there.

This is a brief description to answer your question, but you should really have a look at the rules (look for the link at the top of the page), and read the announcements that are at the top of each forum that you post in.

Oh, I guess you mean like in a signature. This is also set in your profile.

Thanks a mil. I bought a Gmail in the shop but I'm not sure how to activate it. Any help? again...
