Done, said and over with. Now let's move on.

Uhh, now where were we? Oh yeah...

In Italian, it's known as chiocciolina and in french, petite escargot - both meaning little snail.
In Germany, is referred to as Klammeraffe - or spider monkey.
The Dutch refer to it as api, shortened from apestaart , meaning monkey's tail.
In Finland it's a cat's tail or miau.
In Norway its called the kanel-bolle, a spiral-shaped cinnamon cake.
In Israel, it's called a shtrudel.
In Denmark, it's called a snabel.
In Spanish, it's called an arroba - a unit of about 25 lbs., for which it is the sign.

The wonderful @ sign.
Turned out to be a good idea here Darren!
Would anyone like to keep adding more to the list?

Errr...actually, in Norway, it's generally called the alphakroll(with a diagonal strike across the o) which means 'Curled alpha'. It compares the @ sign with the Greek letter alpha, and indicates that it is just the letter alpha with a round curl from the end of the lower tail. Anyway, Tokkolo is right, no one really calls it 'snabel-a' when talking about e-mail addresses and such in Sweden either. It is only used when talking about the sign.

Well I got it from a site I googled.
No way I would have known that.
It had others that it mentioned that it wasn't 100% sure of so I didn't list them.
