Why don't Google create a media player?

I think this would be a good idea, because media players are something which almost everyone has, and with countries now forcing Microsoft to sell versions of Windows without Windows Media Player, now would be a good time to start

I think google is working on quality rather than quantity... so it wants to have a limited amount of products (or at least for the moment) and dominate the markets for these limited products and then slowly move to other products... if your askin for a google media player that every1 uses, then why not just ask for google windows or something... i mean anybody that has a computer would "need" windows as well... but this could be very frightening... i think sooner or later google would be the only monopoly in the tech industry at the rate that google is growing at... Microsoft would soon be a thing of the past :S and we as consumers would be dealing with yet another corporate bully which will eliminate competition and have no price control on the products

Okay fine, Let's say you play some Britney Spears. In a panel to the left of the player, it will say all the gossip about her and what not. Pff, bad idea I say. Just let them keep their Flash Player.

It wouldn't surprise me if they are working on one. There are rumors about all kinds of projects on their drawing board.

thats simply cant possible. the stratgey of google till now is to rule the internet world with various services they cant be dumb to start competing with microsoft over that. As a reputation of a multinational company they just cant pull out a media player with which people will play mp3 files. what i am trying to say they will only role out a full package software than a standalone application. ( if they did)

hey jessica microsoft will be never out of this bussiness. the elite team of programmers that microsoft had is unmatched. the experience they have in OS feild is unmatched. so its not easy but almost immpossible for any company to stand infront of this OS gaint.

Although jessica did perhaps exxagerate a bit...after the last one I wanted for a second to say some sensiblre rebuttal and listing of companies "without a chance against unstoppable MS", but we all know it's pointless anyway
