hi eric,

Yes certainly there are more rooms for bulletin board software. I would like you to clarify:
Quote:
Like we have to email you to edit a post manually and put whatever comments we want to put through you
What i wanted the participants to indicate what are the
best feature they like in each board. For example the shop module is not available in phpBB but an addition to phpbb. similar such features may be there lurking in other boards. I would be thankful if the users who have studied such board post their views.

Incidentally, eric, you will be notified of the board once that is set up. However it will be focussed on a vertical suited to India.

first tidbit about india:
While hindi is the official language, India follows a trilanguage policy, Hindi, english and local language. There are N number of languages spoken in India and while in metro cities you can manage with English and Hindi and in the urban parts the local language prevails. Incidentally, how you learnt hindi?

What do you mean there are 'N' number of languages spoken in India? I think there are 11 official languages including Punjabi, Bengali, Hindi, English Tamil, Telegu, etc.

Anyway, I learnt Hindi through friends(I have many Indian friends), and they give me DVDs of Indian Movie with subtitles, and whenever I meet with them I speak with them in Hindi to practise it...so I'm sort of fluent in Hindi...hehe

i forgot that i was talking to a person who already knows about india yes there are languages such as bhojpuri, ( spoken in parts of bihar), konkani( even though official a very small percentage of people from Karnatka speak it. there is tulu spoken in hilly areas of karnataka, which are not yet official but used in places. The movies you see do not reflect the indian mood and culture- remmber they are movies with a commercial aim to that.

Yekyek is on a distinguished road
I prefer phpBB. Many modifications. Easy to modify too.
When I try to install a mod with IPB, I always get php errors.
