Google browser

Google is spending some of the cash it raised from its IPO on headhunting staff to build a web browser. Staff have already been poached from Micr0soft and Sun. Joshua Bloch, a senior Java developer at Sun, and four people from Micr0soft's IE team have all joined the firm in the last few weeks, according to the New York Post. One of the four, Adam Bosworth, was also a lead developer in the development of Access. Joe Beda, a developer working on the user interface for Micr0soft's Longhorn, has also joined Google. His blog refers to the NY Post story ,but does not give too many clues to his work at Google: "My only job now is to write code and ship product. That is about all I can say too "

i think a google browser would be cool but i dont know if i would use it. if they make one i wonder if they are going to custom make a complete browser or just use something like IE as the base and go from there. i personally will be sticking to my favorite browser for now (Firefox)

I prefer the idea of no Gbrowser and just having Firefox.

I like firefox and if Google wants to beat that, they will have to make a really good browser.

Just like Baim said, anything is possible, and nothing is impossible. Google might be able to beat firefox, you know ...well I most probably will keep on using FireFox unless I get some recommendations from trusted sources when the Google browser is released...What about Google's success with Gmail? I'm sure most of you looked down on firefox when it was first released, saying it must be stupid to take on microsoft, but what about it now? :P
