Reduction-oxidation.

e.g. Cu2+ + SO42- + 2Na+ + 2OH- --into--> (Cu2+ + 2OH-) + 2Na+ + SO42-
Oxidation Is Loss, Reduction Is Gain - OILRIG (Easy way to remember.)

it is not that kids are getting smarter, but they are thought at the level which people in the old day did notget tought,but on the contrary note, people at that time either discovering something that was not known or already discovered but not discussed. and let's discuss the technology. today's technology, to be technical a communicating technology, got so advanced in these couple of years that information is getting passed quickly around the world very fast. Technology is what made the information ready available to the public and people are becoming self educated while in school. In my small life, this is what i figured out is that teachers knows very little than thestudent who sits besides me knows more than the teacher. they[the student] have corrected the teachers. Atleast these are the experiance which i am going by. Every time now aprofessor asks a question i would never know the answer, but my friends in class knows. So this is why i started spending more time surfing the internetabout the subject i am studyingand i am self educating and getting ahead of my professor orat least be with what the professor is talking about.

Phey katalina,BRwell, i will post now a different question.BRas of right now i will hold onto the redox reaction.BRi want to ask about the electron configureation.

now this is what i know:

subshells are designated: s,p,d,fBRs subshells --- -> 1 suborbitalBRp subshells -- -> 3 suborbitalsBRd subshells --- -> 5 suborbitalsBRf subshells --- -> 7 suborbitals

now i don't understand this, but you can help me understand it better.

this is the table of what i think is correct.BRi have no proof to back up any of these details i have put here, please help me katalina.

n=1 l =0 1-suborbitalml = 0BRn=2 l =0,1 2-suborbitalml = -1, 0, 1BRn=3 l =0,1,and 2 3-suborbital ml = -2,-1, 0, 1, 2BRn=4 l =0,1,2,and 3 4-suborbitalml = -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3BRn=5 l =0,1,2,3,and4 5-suborbital ml = -4, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4

is this how this table was supposed to look if i do a electron configureation?

is there an easy way to remember this? may be a pattern or rhyme something.Pand what does the [b]paramagnetic/[b]and [b]diamagnetic/[b] mean?Pandhoware you supposed to know if an element is diamagnetic or paramagnetic?Pand please give me couple of examples relating to this issue.

please help!

i will wait for your response.

thanks a lot for your help in advance.
