Domain names??

I was just thinking about domain names and stuff and thought about sharing this...

.name domains - A lot of people say that you can't register domains directly within the .name extension but how did I do it?: straven.name...but was a bit more expensive :P

.pro domains - Ok pro domains are cool, I want to have one, but I don't know what to choose, because .pro, .med.pro and .md domains are almost the same price(about 200-225 USD). I'm a doctor but I don't live in the US(I live in Canada)...too bad .pro domains can only be registered by americans...

.tv domains - man these are lame...REALLY lame...first I was surfing the web...randomly I put "lamer.tv" in the browser and it redirected www.tv as it wasn't registered...and it said "register this domain for only $50 a year" so I thought, bah what the heck, so I went through reading everything and DAMN!!! halfway through it says I must have a TV channel and after that it says I have to register for $1000 because its lamer.tv ....besides its the the ccTLD of Tuvalu

.ms domains - this is deceiving...everyone thinks it stands for microsoft but its actually the ccTLD of Montserrat.

.ws domains - again this another deceiver, its the ccTLD of Samoa, but registrars tout this as .website..."lol:

.to - Not too bad, its the ccTLD of Tonga, its used mostly for free redirection services...

.tk - good ccTLD, better than other free redirection services as it lets you have an actual domain...

.at - same as .to but its the ccTLD of Austria...

.uk, .*.uk, .gb - So far there was only one site with the .uk extension but its down at the moment, it was nic.uk and the people at nic.uk only registered sites like .me.uk, .ltd.uk, .co.uk, etc., they didn't register plain .uk domains... .gb is another domain for the UK...it stood for Great Britain but great britain was only a portion of the UK so it was later abandoned for the UK domain...so far only one .gb domain exists today but I forgot its URL...and .gb domains are closed for registration...all the mentioned names are ccTLDs for the United Kingdom...


Heh sometimes I like to make original topics like this(in my opinion..hehe)...plesae don't be too harsh...tell me your opinion(I wrote this all by myself, its not like the time I was testing with GC$ and posted that copied stupid essay on newspaper or whatever)....
