Yeah that is true, because you know, there is a certain someone whose reviews I'd never even give a damn about because they're never honest, too biased and always negative, no matter what, and the reasons cited make no sense, so it is just a waste of time. And no, it isn't anyone from this thread, Cat knows who it is, and maybe Gooooogler.

Criticism in creative writing is limited in its benefits, anyway.
Usually, the critic would have done something in a different way, which ends up being a different story that the critic should have written to suit themselves. How do you like my apple? You should have had an orange, because I like oranges. |

That is just the way that the character speaks (and spells). |

You can't tell a fictional character that they are in error. Or you could, if you're the type that shouts at the screen in movie theatres, or argues with the television. |

Yeah, it's kinda like arguing with people because they pronounce "forte" as /fort UH/ or /fort EH/ instead of the correct pronunciation /fort/, since it came from plain French 'fort' which means strong. You can't really blame people when words sharing identical orthography with different meanings have conflicting pronunciations. The /fort UH/ pronunciation was influenced by Italian 'forte', which is pronounced that way and was similarly borrowed into English, and is a musical term.
