NaNoWriMo

It's the second day of NaNoWriMo but it's not too late to join now!

The goal of participating in this is to come up with a 50,000-word novel by the end of November 31st. It doesn't matter what kind of genre or how the story or ending winds up, the only thing that matters is reaching the 50K line!

So, if you have some free time, what are ya waiting for? Sign up now!

So NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month. I never knew about it. Does it take place every year?

Anyway, that is going to be difficult. A real challenge. I'll never be able to write a novel of 50,000 words. But I did write one of 2,100 words, in a competition.

Lastly, I've got one more question. It says "national" in the acronym. So does this mean that you can only write if you are located in the United States?

P.S. No, I didn't sign up, as you may have guessed already.

To each their own about their own definition of "National", but as far as I know the whole idea of NaNoWriMo is international and strictly adheres to the International Time Zone when it comes to the beginning and the ending of the month! And yes it's held every year.

I tried it last year and ended up doing 10,000 words within the last two weeks. Can't join this year due to exams in progress this month. :/

Sounds like fun. I wish I could participate but my exams will take a beating if I do.
