extensions won't matter
Does anybody think that sine there are a finite number on .com extensions, that soon the extension will not matter very much? I think that this might be the case and so am considering getting good domains with other extensions (.biz etc - not country ones)
Do you think that in the future extensions might become irrelivant? |

I don't think so. I think the proliferation of spanking-new, unfamiliar domains
will actually make the 'dot coms' all that much more attractive as a symbol of stability and continuity. As larger businesses (some international heavy hitters) branch out to different domains, there will probably be a few specific ones that gradually aquire a cachet of their own. |

.com will remain the most popular and most desired domain extension no matter what. But since the availability of good .com names is reducing, people are now looking for other alternatives like .net,.org,.biz etc.
