Domains for live/interactive media (video) over Internet.

Hi friends,

Please refer to the below given domains:

http://www.movies.com
http://www.film.com
http://www.cinema.com
http://www.video.com
http://www.picturehall.com
http://www.tv.com
http://www.webtv.com

I would like to know:

The estimated cost of buying/selling names with the above given grade/quality (via auction or direct sale)?

The domain is expected to be used for live/interactive media (video) over Internet.

Are you asking the following?

-If any of these domains went on sale for how much would they sell for?

-The answer to that would be a huge ammount of money...

Darrenstraight, thanks for your prompt reply.

I am sure if any of these domains go on auction or sale they are going to fetch huge amount of money, but I am in particular interested in having information about the past acquisitions / purchases of names with similar rating and the financials involved (if its known to someone).

Hi, No problem I'm always keen to help.

Though not entily related, the best I can offer is:
http://www.archive.org/web/web.php

Quote:
Browse through 40 billion web pages archived from 1996 to a few months ago. To start surfing the Wayback, type in the web address of a site or page where you would like to start, and press enter. Then select from the archived dates available. The resulting pages point to other archived pages at as close a date as possible. Keyword searching is not currently supported.
Or you could try searhing some domain seller sites like www.sedo.com !

Darrenstraight,

I am still not able find information about the approximate financials involved with such names all I was able to find after searching for it for a couple of days on the Internet was that:

CINEMA.COM was sold via open auction http://www.greatdomains.com for around US$700,000.00 (on January 2000).
It was brought by "Steve Hill, chairman and MD of Easysoft (a data access middleware company)".
"Sony" and "Universal Studios" were among the top bidders after Easysoft.
Today with the advancement of internet infrastructure combined with great demand for digital media (entertainment) over internet, the cost of this domain is speculated to be around US$7,00,000.00 to US$10,00,000.00

I am expecting this kind of information about the domains as the industry has noticed in the recent past.
