I think this would make a great personal ads or classifieds section in an Indian city what are your views? I have this parked at the moment but with all the outside offers and traffic i get i am considering developing this myself. Thank you for taking the time to answer. Tips |

Hiya Chaitanyamandava
Thanks for your reply and i totally agree it could be for all cities, towns, districts etc. As per which extension is most popular at the moment it is the .co.in without a doubt. I have close ties with www.resellers.co.in and they report the .co.in being the most popular extension. Saying this i take nothing away from the .in just at this time the .co.in is huge. Reasons for this is probably due to the .co. part being a very recognised extension example .co.uk and the .co is normally associated with .company or .country In time the .in will grow and even out with the .co.in so advice is register both and corner both markets. Look at Google they use the .co.in extension over the .in and Ebay has been playing the .in then changing to .co.in and visa versa they can not make up there minds. Or are seeing which extension drives more traffic. Traffic wise and offers it is .co.in but again as stated at the end that will even out in time. If you have many .co.in and .in domains the best place to park these until you develop the domain at the moment is sedo.com just incase you or any of your forum members are interested. They have a very good influence over the Indian market. I hope my reply has helped. Also thank you for locking the other thread of mine i was just being curtious in thanking members. |
