I am interested to find out if there are universal threads that one uses in picking friends. Tell me how you pick your friends.

they are the ones who pick me...

I'm not a picky type of person, I go with those who am I comfortable of going with. On my circle of friends, we have totally different attitudes. But we understand each other...

I'd have to start with a common interest and then move on from there. The more time you spend with someone online, the more likely they are to become a friend.
