Command & Conquer Red Alert

My friend gave me an installer of red alert 1 that installs it. He said it works on xp without changing any of the compability settings, ok it ran on his, he proved it. I install it on my bros pc, HA it works, when i install on my XP PRO SP2 pc it doesntimg src="/richedit/smileys/10.gif" border="0" When the command & conquer red alert logo starts up with the tank it hangs(crashes), just stays on the logo, with the sound stuttering. I tried running it again, but pressed Esc like 20 times b4 the app started and managed to get in it., basically i skipped the logo intro. Gameplay works, sound stuters, sometimes the expansion missions wont start, when i click on a unit or more stuff, the sound goes on and on,(eg. sir!) sir sir sir sir, fixing this by turning of the sound works. but still the logo frezees up!!!! I REALLY WANNA PLAY this game, i used to own it, any help would be aprrecaited!!!!! brbrMY PC SPECS:brAMD athlon 64 3500+ (2.21 Ghz)br512MB RAMbrSapphire ATI RADEON x800GT(256mb ram)brWindows xp pro sp2brSound MAX 5.2brbrMY BROS PC SPECSbrAMD athlon 64 3000+br512MB RAMbrSapphire ATI RADEON 9600XT(256mb ram)brWindows xp pro sp2brREALTEK audiobrbrbr
