Counter Strike anyone???

How many of ya'll play Counter-Strike:Source? I haven't been playing much lately because of Cold Weather Training. However once I get back I'll be getting back into it. I was in a clan but it split apart a couple days ago apparently so no more scrimmages or clan matches for me. However if anyone wants to meet up online and shoot it out sometime my AIM is puppynut5 and my XFire is the same. I'll be getting back on the 21st or the 23rd of this month.

I enjoy a few rounds of CS. It is a very good game and quite enjoyable. As far as realism goes, it is fairly realistc aside from the fact that the counter terrorists have to buy thier own guns and equipment. I suppose this keeps the game fair and fun ,otherwise most people would just get the best guns.

Most of the servers I play on start you with 16,000 so you don't have to worry about running out of money. If you do you just go spectate than rejoin. Umm I'll be sure and give out the IP's to the servers I play on when I get back from the training. My name online is PuppyNuts If anyone has a west coast clan that needs a player let me know and I'd be glad to try out.

I enjoy playing CS a lot when i have spare time from
other military combat games such as the delta force series. I have condition zero, its really fun, i really got into the deleted scenes but then i got i got bored it. So i just play the multiplayer mode. Its realistic, but at times when you shoot the enemy on the head with any gun, it takes at least 2 bullets for them to die. Ill be getting source soon
i heard its a really great game.

CS is quite good game...too bad the whole experience suffers in large parts because of "community" (if you can call it that way...), attributed also by the mechanisms of the game (basically...worth the most are players who play somewhat individually with high aiming skills and who are accoustomed to the maps) (note: it is natural thing that people play on servers geographically close to them, so your mileage may vary; though if it's not, I can understand why some of you like CS so much...).
For that reasons, TFC (Team Fortress Classic) was usually my multiplayer HL mod of choice - gameplay concentrated on very disctinctive classes, hence big role of teamwork, made easier by the fact that community was extremelly small (dozen players, perhaps 20+ in the peak, in two/three teams in my country; probably few hyndred total), made of mature players who knew each other good.
Now, we're waiting for Fortress Forever... ("remake" of TFC on Source engine)

I remember gaming TFC on a 56k modem....Good times. Haha it was a great game I can't deny it and I'm looking forward to the source remake. I usually play on a California based servers but I don't limit myself. I was in a clan (It split while I was here in cold weather training) and we did some clan scrims which makes it fun. I like a lot of the clan games because in order to win you really do need team work. Not near as much as TFC but on a lot of the open games that I play on servers people only care about score they don't worry about the outcome of the whole team.

Well, you know, we had solutions to this. Only one condition to implement them: server allows friendly fire

(now that I think about it...it was quite usual in America's Army; when player that was the only one who left in loosing team valued his life too much (stayed hidden/not performing (suicidal) frontal attack), he was usually the first to die in next round )
