can it be possible that the home page would have a tab that i could click on to see the forums that i haven't read and those that i have...

I don't think thats possible with this forum.

However, theres a New Posts link up the top to indicate what is new.

Yup, the New Posts button is probably the thing most similar to what you want.

P.S. Maybe this should be in the GC Anouncements, Feedback & Questions forum.
