customizeable safe search tool

as a frequent google user i finally discovered your preferences site.
and i started to think about the safe serch tool.
for me as a user it would be an improvement if i could apply google search filtering to various, let´s call it genres of sites. for example would it be perfect if i could filter advertising sites when doing research for something that accidently matches the name of a product.
