New Feature: "Thanks"

Here's the problem. Users want to express their thanks for a post, but don't like posting a reply that just says "thanks". Plus, we need to keep threads clean and readable, without a bunch of "thanks" being posted.

Also, the creators of useful posts don't have much idea how many people like their posts, if only some of the people even reply.

Introducing the new Thanks button!

This is a great new way for you to show your appreciation to those who have posted something interesting or useful.

When you click on it, it places your username in a box under the post to show that you've said "thanks." Everyone who clicks the button is placed in the box. This keeps things nice and organized

Users who receive thanks may receive reputation points.

What do you think?

Would it be possible to have a higher resolution "thumbs up" image - it looks kind of grainy at the moment.
Also I keep on nearly clicking on the icon when I mean to go to "quick reply" because it is in the place that icon used to be.
Nice addition though.

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, I will try making a better "Thanks" image, maybe one that's green so it matches our color scheme?

Would it better if I made the Quick Reply button larger?

No it was just because the new button was in the place where the quick reply used to be.
Getting used to it now so it doesn't really matter anymore.

Thanks for the thoughts. I've created a new "Thanks" button which has a star instead of the pixelated "Thumbs Up"
