Please install the modification/hack for phpBB which will allow members of specified usergroups to make utilization of off-site avatars as soon as possible. Please also take into consideration that many of us are requesting images in signatures to be re-enabled yet again.

Image signatures look cool. PLease re enable them. May be you can use some caution and provide it to only poeple with more than 500 posts or any other criteria if possible. Without them forum looks a bit dull

Currently there is no mod available that will enable the [img]tag or remote avatars for a certain group. I have literally looked through all the mods and there is no such mod available. Perhaps you can write one for this community?

I have no experience with phpBB boards, so that would prove difficult for me. Just because it isn't listed in the phpBB official modifications/hacks database does not confirm that there is no such mod in existence. If there isn't, you can blame Darren for the confusion as he informed me via MSN recently that they have gotten hold of the modifications and all is needed is Elliot's co-operation.
Elliot pled in the official phpBB board's modifications subforum for an experienced add-on developer to program a hack of this nature. I have not been keeping track of the topic, however, so it would impossible for me to know whether his request has really been filled or not, yet.

Elliot has made a request for the mod on the official phpBB boards, a couple of weeks (I believe) ago. I even made a second request last week. The thing with making requests there, is that within the hour your topic is on the second or third page. The next day it is probably on the 10th page. No reply has been made to either topic. To find a mod that will actually give a certain group these privilages I have searched the official phpbb website, phpbbhacks website and Google. I haven't found a single mod that will enable it. I did find a topic about the development for this kind of mod, that might enable it, yet the topicstarter hasn't replied to the topic anymore (even after multiple members posting replies to it). Ofcourse it could be possible that the mod does exist, if anybody can find that kind of mod, feel free to give me the link. I'll be happy install it on a test forum of mine to see if it works properly.

Tokkolo or anybody else please can you send me a list if you have one of all the site you've been to that had similar mods to what we need, like that mod that's under development, as I'm going to try and get in contact with anybody I can and may even offer some kind of reward to them if anybody can make a mod like what we want.

Darren, why are you taking this seriously? You're the best moderator here. Do you really think I mean any of those things? I shouldn't say 'blame', I guess there was some misunderstanding because it seems as if I've gotten the idea that you had informed me that you told Elliot about some mods, but didn't realize they were the ones I found/searched.

Personally, I've liked it a lot better when nobody is able to post images or use graphical images. It makes the pages load faster and clears up a lot of clutter. It also removes the risk of inappropriate images being posted. Removal of the ability to use the image tag in posts and signatures makes the members focus more on the content of their posts rather than the appearance of it, making the experience here on GC a little bit better.
