"Worry" isn't quite the right term. Had this person the bad fortune to contact me with this fraudulent 'offer', I'd be quite capable of tracking the source. I'd start with MSN, and do my level best to have his ISP drop him as well. I have no tolerance for criminals.

And this guy is a crook. Plain and simple.

Well I just did what Darrenstraight said block him and delete him, but I wanted everyone to know what he was doing just in case. If I were in the US i would do my best to get him caught because it is in fact a criminal ofense what he is doing, who knows what he plans to do with the info her gets. He asked me for accounts and credit card information too and to be sent to a hotmail account none the less. I mean this ass*** could rip someone off seriously.

Not really the point. The point is, that if the crook wasn't so incompetent, it wouldn't be difficult to get a hotmail (or other) account that 'sounded official', and use it not just for direct payment (if he could find a sucker), but in the process, also phish account and financial details.

This is why I'd put a foot on his neck right now. Even a moron can learn from his mistakes. Maybe next time, he squeezes say, $5 or $10 a piece, out of a quarter of the member list. Say, more importantly, the same number gives him their credit card information. There's a lot a thief can do with that.

Not really an impediment to prosecution, or reports to mail services, or his ISP. It could be a little tougher if he was with a 'rogue' ISP, or behind an anonymous remailer, or redirecting his correspondence through open relays in China.

My guess; is that your boy's not quite that clever.

Yep you guessed correct there!

Note: the account has now been claimed by me, and as far as I can tell, nobody was actually scammed. Thanks to everyone for your help. Topic locked; please send me a PM if any related issues arise. -intelliot
