Problem with the Google Community site
span class="postbody"Quick question here... I've noticed that quite often, after writing
bramessage and posting it, the formatting is often messed up. Line brbreakswhere they shouldn't be, making the post longer than normal; brsometimeswords will be pressed together, etc. Any attempts to edit the brpost tofix it usually just make it worse. Using the quick reply broptionhowever, does not have any adverse effects on the message. Has branyoneelse seen this with their own posts, and if so, do you have a brsolution? It's not really that big of an issue, but crappy looking posts brmake melook like a n00b.br br edit: like thisbr /span |

Yes, the Rich Text editor is a relatively new feature of the forum, and has a bug or two to work out.
When you have reply open, you may want to choose the option to "Click here to set normal Text Area as your default". I tend to switch back and forth, myself. I like the features of the Rich Text, but sometimes it puts up too much of a fight. |

The only thing I don't like, is that the Quick Reply doesn't seem to recognize if your default is "email notification of replies". |

Firefox...
I'm using Firefox and it's not letting me use the Rich Text Editor. It just shows the big white square where you would normally enter text, but I can't click in it. It still lets me type into the subject field at the top, but that's all. I also notice Firefox doing this on some other sites as well, so it must mean that I need an extension or something... Any suggestions on how to fix it?
Thanks, Guy |
