Please do not just post a link to another site. Particularly, as it's only your second post in this forum.
This is spamming.

Generally it is more correct to post a link and a short description, than to post the whole article, or am I wrong?

You might want to post the first paragraph, and a "Read more" link.

The first question to ask, is why are you posting?
If a topic is of general interest, and on-topic for the forum; the standard form is to post a synopsis, or quote, and then a link to the article.
In the case of your own work, that is not 'news', posting only to drive traffic to your site is not acceptable.

It's one thing to point out something you've authored as a legitimate response to someone's question. That's fine.
But starting a thread to simply advertise a site is simply advertising.
Your post here must contain something of substance and worth on its own.

Your signature, and the link set in your profile, give you the opportunity to advertise in conjunction with each and every post.
If people find your writing interesting and informative, they will want to see what else you have to offer.

I'm no admin...but I don't see what the problem is. It's a legit link and it's posted under the correct forum.

Because a forum is not about just picking a topic, and sending people off to read about it somewhere else.
Particularly, if you are only doing it to promote your own site.
