Burnt out video card and power supply

It only took 2 whole months for my pc to break down. The power supply broke and my video card( Saphire Radeon X800 GT(256Mb) burnt out. How was this possible? Iam still waiting for my card to get shipped under warranty, ive been waiting a whole month, this is pathetic! Instead the shop that i bought it gave me a c*** card. Any suggetions?

Well, that sucks.
How did the power supply "break"? And have you replaced it (under warranty)?
Have you had problems with fans/overheating?

As for the video card, you should complain loud and often.
Both to the manufacturer, and to the shop that sold the system to you.

Regardless of any warranties, when you spend that much on a purchase, a major malfunction after two months is still a failure to deliver the product you've bought.
It's not unreasonable to demand that they give you what you've paid for.
This should be their problem, not yours.
I'd remind them of that. A lot.

This is what happened. About last month on Saturday I turned on the pc in the morning to browse the net. Turned it on, says Windows Xp, then inside the pc it starts to make a squaeaking noise(really LOUD), then when it was meant to go to the Welcome screen, the screen went black, then i switched off the pc by the power button on the front(not the power supply button). Then i try to turn on the pc, Nothing, dead.... At first the power supply was really loud, i got it back replaced under warranty about a week ago. Now the power supply is really quiet. But the card hasnt been shipped in yet, instaed for the time i have to use a basic card that has slow frame rates. AND when i got it back, when i logged on the pc my anti-virus found a Trojan 32 in my Visual Studio folder, the file was API.EXE or similar, i deleted the file, there was no other choice. Iam not happy with the shop.
