Refurbs......yea or nay?

As most of you know refurb computers can be hit or miss. Among usersand the gaming community the advantage is getting some decent hardwarefor slashed prices. With minor upgrading, if at all. Some people thatthe best deals are online with a few exceptions. Ive been told to stayaway from computer deals on Tigerdirect.com to name one. Any thoughts?

I purchased a refurb 19in viewsonic flat panel lcd 8ms response time from newegg.com which is the same as tiger direct and it's perfect. About $150 cheaper and it still works just as good.

Yes, I think it's a great way to get a deal.
Providing that it's a reputable suplier, and you get a warranty you can count on. For at least one year.
