You guys have been terrific and helpful. Thank you all for your input.

I decided to format my hard disk and instal Vista as the sole OS. It seems to be working fairly well, exzcept there are quite a few apps, such as Real and Microsoft Media that are incompatible, b ut "They are working on it". I can access the Internet wirelessly again from it but for the life of me I cannot instal my Canon printer wirelessly, as I used to with XP.

My advice. Stay away from Vista until they get all the bugs out.It isn't worth the hours of frustration and the poor support you get.
