a month ago i would have said "b". now, however, 802.11g is stepping up to the mass market.

I'm not sure if this is what you're getting at, but try pointing your web browser to "http://192.168.1.1", typing "default" for username and leaving the pass blank (or maybe that should be the other way around <_<), and adjusting port settings from there.

The default settings should do you fine. Are you trying to broadcast the signal long distances and getting poor signal strength or what exactly is your problem?

802.11g

I would buy this because its backwards compatable with 802.11b, so it makes sence, 10 bucks more get the G because it works with both, and its better.

thankyou, mister obvious.

jmikalinis: You might want to check in your router config to see about it "shutting off". Does the router itself power down or does it disconnect from the internet, or disable network traffic?
