my xp is going slow can you help

Here are some instructiosn to help make the startup faster.
1. Start
2. Run
3. msconfig
4. Startup
5. Uncheck everything that you do not want to start up. Make sure you keep some neccasry things such as virus scans.

Google for HijackThis!... download it and run a scan, and post your results. We'll inform you of what to remove, if you'd like. If that's too complicated for you, be sure to download Spybot S&D and Adaware... and run them at different times... not the same time.

Check your IDE channel, sometimes XP changes it from UDMA to PIO, it'll be much more slow...

defrag your hard drives
upgrade your bios
hardware drivers
etc...

quite a lot you can do...
